The leader of the Dutch Party for Freedom was reacting to the serious riots on Tuesday morning in The Hague that ‘celebrated’ Morocco’s victory over the Netherlands.

As we reported, the Netherlands was eliminated from the football World Cup after a penalty shootout against Morocco, which triggered less-than-peaceful public celebrations by the African country’s fans.

Leader of the right-wing anti-immigration Party for Freedom (PVV), Geert Wilders reacted to the riots by stating that the ‘fans’ hailing from Morocco who clashed with police and engaged in vandalism in The Hague after the Dutch team’s defeat should be deported from the country along with their families.

Wilders did not mince his words on X, stating that the “riffraff” that caused chaos in The Hague should be “shipped off” to Morocco.

In other remarks, Wilders demanded that the Netherlands take tougher action against the rioters, because nothing will change if such people are not arrested.

The right-wing PVV leader said the victory should have been celebrated normally and peacefully. Instead, he said, the situation had once again gotten out of hand. “We expect them to celebrate properly, but even after a victory, shots are fired at the police and there are riots in Schilderswijk. Until we arrest these people and deport them to Morocco with their families, nothing will change.”

Wilders also remarked

If you do something like this in Morocco and you come from Qatar or another Gulf country, for example, you and your family will be deported.
