Public swimming pools, once symbols of family leisure during Germany’s summer months, have become the stage for a rising tide of sexual violence—once again calling into question the consequences of an uncontrolled immigration policy. According to official data from the Federal Ministry of the Interior, cited by Junge Freiheit, 65% of the suspects in sexual assaults recorded in German pools during 2024 did not hold German citizenship.

In total, 423 cases were documented across the country, with 364 suspects identified. Of these, 236 were foreigners, compared to 128 Germans. The most frequent nationalities: Afghans (61), Syrians (50), and Turks (24). These figures, when adjusted to the size of each community, reveal a clear overrepresentation. For every 100,000 Afghans in Germany, 14 were identified as suspects; among Syrians, five; and among Turks, one and a half. In contrast, the rate among Germans is just 0.18 per 100,000. In relative terms, Afghans are 76 times more likely to be suspected of this type of crime in swimming pools than Germans.

The numbers from Bavaria, not included in the federal statistics for technical reasons, paint an even grimmer picture. In that state alone, and according to an assessment by the regional criminal department cited by Süddeutsche Zeitung, 227 sexual offenses were recorded in outdoor swimming pools in 2024. Of the 163 suspects identified, 97 were foreigners.

Based on this data, MP Martin Hess (AfD), a former police instructor and expert in internal affairs, denounced that Germany is “paying the price of unchecked mass immigration.” In his view, the cultural norms of many immigrants directly clash with Western values: “Those who reject our laws, despise our values, and abuse our hospitality have no place in this country,” he declared.

Hess also criticized those who downplay these incidents by blaming heat or overcrowding: “It’s cynical. The fact that not even our children are safe in swimming pools—once places of enjoyment—is a true civilizational failure,” he concluded.

The most symbolic case of this trivialization was the recent municipal campaign in the city of Büren, where posters aimed at warning against sexual harassment featured a reversed scene: a white woman groping a black child in a swimming pool. Following public outrage, the city removed the posters, although it defended the campaign’s intention. For Hess, this was “a grotesque attempt to invert the roles of victim and aggressor,” and an example of the “multiculturalist ideology that distorts reality and endangers citizens.”
