Netanyahu has accused Britain and France of handing Hamas a “huge prize” and “inviting more atrocities.”

Benjamin Netanyahu has responded furiously to Europe’s latest bashing of Israel’s fight against Hamas, while the terrorist organisation has reportedly expressed its thanks for support from the continent.

The leaders of Britain and France—as well as Canada’s latest liberal offering, Mark Carney—wrote to Netanyahu’s government on Monday, threatening to take “concrete actions” if Israel does not stop a new military offensive against Hamas and lift restrictions on humanitarian aid entering Gaza.

Israel did allow five trucks carrying baby food and other aid into Gaza on Sunday, following an 11-week blockade which officials described as “one of the central pressure tools that stops Hamas from using this means against the population.” Netanyahu stressed that “we must not reach a situation of famine, both from a practical and a diplomatic standpoint,” although the Western leaders said in their joint statement that this concession was “wholly inadequate.”

Netanyahu responded that “by asking Israel to end a defensive war for our survival before Hamas terrorists on our border are destroyed and by demanding a Palestinian state,

The leaders in London, Ottowa [sic] and Paris are offering a huge prize for the genocidal attack on Israel on October 7th while inviting more such atrocities.

He added that the war could end “tomorrow if the remaining hostages are released, Hamas lays down its arms, its murderous leaders are exiled and Gaza is demilitarised.”

This is a war of civilization over barbarism. Israel will continue to defend itself by just means until total victory is achieved.

Hamas, on the other hand, is reported to have praised the joint statement as “a step in the right direction.”

Retired British Army officer Richard Kemp said that the UK-France-Canada “call for Israel’s surrender is extremely dangerous, strengthening and encouraging Hamas and Iran at a critical negotiating point.”

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot also said on Tuesday that his government is “determined” to recognise a Palestinian state, a move that is likewise supported by Pedro Sánchez’s Spanish socialist administration.
