Donald Trump is preparing to designate Antifa—a term for loosely related far-left groups—a terrorist organisation as part of a wider crackdown on the far-left following the killing of Charlie Kirk.
The president announced the measure in true Trumpian form, saying:
I am designating ANTIFA, A SICK, DANGEROUS, RADICAL LEFT DISASTER, AS A MAJOR TERRORIST ORGANISATION.
He added that groups currently funding Antifa will also be “thoroughly investigated in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices.”

This move is being celebrated by many conservatives across Europe, who say their own governments should follow suit.
Brussels Antifa groups tried—and thankfully failed—to cancel an MCC Brussels event on women and conservatism in May this year by “intimidating” venues. One MEP described the efforts of other Antifa activists operating in the city as “totalitarian and deeply anti-democratic.” Another bemoaned Brussels’ “increasingly hostile environment.”
Brussels is, of course, not alone in suffering attempts to intimidate it into silence. Antifa associates are also understood to have spread terror in Budapest, where one individual allegedly carried out politically motivated assaults before later receiving a prestigious German arts prize and taxpayer-funded support from the German state.
Canadian gender ideology-critical activist Chris Elston (‘Billboard Chris’)—who, unrelated to this, was arrested in Brussels in June for holding a banner—celebrated that Antifa was “finally” going to be designated a terrorist organisation, adding: “Let the arrests begin.”
Finally. President Trump has declared Antifa the terrorist organization that it is.

German politician Malte Kaufmann added that Trump’s was the “right decision.” He said:
As soon as [his party] the AfD in Germany has governmental responsibility, Antifa should also be classified here as a terrorist organisation and the entire financing swamp drained!
