A North African man has been arrested in Spain after striking a Senegalese neighbor in the head with a hammer and seriously injuring another Senegalese man during a violent attack in Torre Pacheco, Murcia.

The incident unfolded at around 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25th, in the heart of the town. According to eyewitnesses, the alleged perpetrator began arguing with the two young Senegalese men, whom he had previously known, before the confrontation turned deadly.

Reports say the attacker struck the first victim repeatedly with a hammer, splitting his head open and inflicting critical injuries. Then, with his first victim lying motionless on the ground, he reportedly armed himself with a broken bottle and caused injuries to his neck.

Emergency services and the Torre Pacheco Local Police were alerted after witnesses recorded the incident and called for help. Officers arriving at the scene found the first victim lying on the ground in a large pool of blood.

According to reports, neighbors attempted to help and resuscitate one of the injured men until paramedics arrived. He was transported to the Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Police quickly identified and arrested the suspected attacker, who can be seen covered in his victims’ blood on videos circulating on social media.

The small town of Torre Pacheco made headlines for immigrant violence almost exactly a year ago. In mid-July of 2025, a group of young immigrants attacked and beat a local 68-year-old man, “just for fun.”

The brutal assault sparked immediate outrage and triggered chaos in the city. Anti-immigrant protests unfolded, calling for a tougher stance on violent asylum seekers, while some migrant gangs took over parts of the city, allegedly patrolling streets and looking to attack protesters.

The tense situation went on for almost a week, with clashes between protesters and the immigrants happening every night, while the police had a hard time containing the situation. Not surprisingly, the Socialist Spanish government doubled down on its message of “racism” and targeted the fed-up protesters, while exonerating the immigrant groups who were causing violence and disturbance in the city.

VOX/Patriots for Europe MEP Jorge Buxadé reacted to the bloodbath on X, stating

The same old thing. But we won’t get used to it. We won’t. The Spanish won’t. They have to be thrown out.

As prime minister Sánchez recently announced the legalization of over half a million immigrants in Spain, immigrant violence and crime is expected to continue to rise, with many warning that immigrants from third world countries are also importing their conflict-resolution ‘culture’ into the country.
