Trump: U.S. Engaged in “Operation Epic Fury” Against Iran

The U.S. president confirmed on Truth Social that a "massive and ongoing operation" was in place to prevent the threats of the "wicked dictatorship" of Tehran.

The U.S. president confirmed on Truth Social that a "massive and ongoing operation" was in place to prevent the threats of the "wicked dictatorship" of Tehran.

In a video posted on Truth Social, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that the United States was “undertaking a massive and ongoing operation to prevent this very wicked, radical dictatorship from threatening America and our core national security interests.” The U.S. military dubbed the assault “Operation Epic Fury.”

The president called on Iran’s military forces to lay down their weapons, and on Iran’s civilians to rise up and “take over your government.”

Trump also warned in his video message that U.S. forces could take casualties in the attack. He said

The lives of courageous American heroes may be lost and we may have casualties.

The United States and Israel launched air strikes against various targets in Tehran, Isfahan and other cities in Iran on the morning of Saturday, February 28th. Israel said the bombings were “pre-emptive,” with the aim of preventing the Islamic regime from threatening the security of the state of Israel.
