Foreign nationals accounted for around 30% of convictions for “sexual assault on a female” in England and Wales last year, as well as a quarter of all “rape of a female over 16” convictions, despite making up less than 11% of the population.
That’s according to data from the ministry of justice, obtained under freedom of information laws by the Centre for Migration Control.
The think tank said these figures showed “mass migration has made Britain unsafe for women and girls,” and has launched a new campaign urging politicians to make it more difficult for migrants from “high risk” countries to reach the UK with a new immigration “red list,” inspired by Donald Trump’s travel bans.
Robert Bates, who is the Centre’s research director, told europeanconservative.com that their findings were a damning indictment of “the open border experiment, inflicted on this country without the public’s consent.”
Responsible politicians, which are sadly in short supply in this country, would respond to figures such as these by making a commitment to publish all conviction data by nationality and immigration status, as well as rapidly creating a “red list” of countries which should face severe restrictions on their ability to receive British visas.
These are common sense measures and as such it is highly unlikely that the Labour government would adopt them.
Reform deputy leader Richard Tice added that the figures were “perhaps due to mass immigration from cultures alien to our own, who treat women as second-class citizens.”
As with this week’s government report highlighting that officials have for years brushed aside ethnicity when investigating child rape gangs, the per capita findings here are important. The Centre said:
The figures would mean that the conviction rate for foreign nationals is 5.75 per 100,000 of the population and 1.77 per 100,000 for the British population—a conviction rate which is 224% higher. In other words, foreign nationals are convicted for sexual assault on a female at a rate 2.24 times higher than the British population.
Its report added that the “significant number” of awarded citizenships in recent years is also likely to have inflated “the actual British conviction rate.”
