An incendiary UAV caused a fire at the United Arab Emirates’ only nuclear power plant—raising fresh concerns both over regional escalation and the safety of critical energy infrastructure in the Arabian Gulf.

Missile and drone strikes hit the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Israel as the conflict widens, with Hormuz tensions and U.S. troop casualties raising fears of a broader regional war.

Explosions were reported in several Gulf countries after Iranian missiles struck targets in the region.

President Volodymyr Zelensky also accepted a U.S. proposal to hold another round of peace talks in Miami.

Negotiators from Ukraine, Russia and the U.S. convene in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, but Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy grid threaten to overshadow the talks.
