Dr. Tamás Deutsch is a founding member of Hungarian conservative party Fidesz. He was a member of the Hungarian Parliament between 1990 and 2009, the Minister of Youth and Sports in the first Orbán government, and then the Deputy Speaker of Parliament between 2004 and 2006. He has been a member of the European Parliament since 2009, and the head of the Fidesz delegation to the European Parliament since 2019.
