British prime minister Keir Starmer is hosting a summit focused on tackling antisemitism, prompted by the recent stabbing of two Jewish men in Golders Green. The UK terror threat level has been raised to “severe” following a recent spate of suspected antisemitic attacks.
The Labour leader has called in police, business, and cultural leaders to Downing Street in a coordinated effort to “eradicate antisemitism from every corner of society.”
Announcing an additional £1.5m (€1.7m) in funding to strengthen ‘community cohesion’ and protect Jewish residents in high-risk areas, the Prime Minister stated:
It is not enough to simply say we stand with Jewish communities.
