A BMW drove into a group of people in Berlin-Wedding on Thursday, September 4th, at around 1 p.m., leaving several children injured.
According to BILD, the car was turning onto Seestraße at the corner of Dohnagestell when it hit a group of children, aged between 7 and 8t.
Three of them sustained minor injuries and were taken to the nearby Virchow Clinic for treatment. One supervisor accompanying the children was seriously injured and transported to hospital as well.
The driver of the BMW remained unharmed. Photographs from the scene showed him leaning against his vehicle while speaking with police officers. The car had visible damage to its front left headlight.
Police and firefighters arrived on site, securing the area and providing care for the children.
Police said it is unclear how or why the car drove into the crowd, but first responders believe it was an accident.
