Elon Musk also reacted on his own social media platform, X, to the news of the verdict against Marine Le Pen. He wrote:
“When the far left cannot win in a democratic election, they abuse the legal system and imprison their opponents. This is their tried and tested playbook everywhere in the world.”
In addition to his own words, Musk shared a post in which other politicians are listed who fared similarly to Le Pen: Jair Bolsonaro, the Pakistani Imran Khan, Matteo Salvini, Donald Trump and most recently the Romanian Calin Georgescu has also joined the group.
