North Caucasus airports briefly suspended overnight flights; residents later shared images and videos of explosions and damaged security facilities.

Unmanned aerial vehicles reportedly struck several military and security locations across Chechnya on Tuesday, December 3rd. Chechen authorities have yet to comment—while Russia’s Defence Ministry said only that four drones were shot down over the republic.

Images circulated in local webchat apps appear to show severe fire damage to the Federal Security Service (FSB) office in Achkhoy-Martan.

Another strike reportedly hit the base of the Akhmat regiment in Gudermes, with online footage showing a drone approaching before an explosion.

Later in the day, the opposition Telegram channel NIYSO reported an additional drone attack targeting a police station in Sernovodsk, though this remains unconfirmed.

Air traffic authorities temporarily halted flights at several airports in the region—including Grozny, Vladikavkaz and Makhachkala.

Chechnya has seen a series of drone attacks over the past year, with earlier strikes damaging police facilities, military barracks and training centres.
