President Donald Trump warned on Tuesday, April 7th that “a whole civilization” in Iran could perish if the country does not heed his ultimatum and concede to U.S. demands.
A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will.
While Trump did not provide specific details, he has previously suggested that the U.S. military could bomb Iran’s bridges, power plants, and other civilian infrastructure back “into the stone age.”
Iran has rejected the U.S. threats, with state media reporting that authorities are insisting on a full end to the war rather than just a ceasefire.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump left the door open for a last-minute agreement:
Now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight.
