President Trump now claims a historic 'common ground' with King Charles III, telling a White House State Dinner that the British sovereign fully supports the U.S. mission to block Iran from ever acquiring a nuclear weapon.

In an apparent landmark display of transatlantic solidarity, President Donald Trump hosted King Charles III for a State Dinner at the White House on Tuesday, April 28th.

Against the backdrop of a two-month conflict with Tehran, the President utilized his address to assert that the British Monarch is in full alignment with the American mission to permanently dismantle Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Trump quipped

Charles agrees with me even more than I do.

He framed the prevention of a nuclear-armed Iran as a shared moral imperative.

While the King maintained his constitutional neutrality by avoiding direct policy endorsements, his own speech delivered a sophisticated message of historical resolve, inviting the President to maintain American leadership as a defender of freedom in Ukraine—a pointed reference following recent friction between the White House and the Duke of Sussex.
