Turning Point USA Leader Charlie Kirk has passed away, according to multiple U.S. news sources. U.S. President Donald Trump also shared the shocking and heartbreaking update.
“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”
Kirk was speaking on a university event at Utah Valley University in a Q&A session. University officials and local authorities report that the shooter is still at large. Many videos circulated social media of police forces detaining an older man at the scene who was later reportedly released from custody. Law enforcement is still looking for the suspect. Attorney General Pam Bondi said FBI and ATF are on the scene.
The 31-year-old Kirk leaves behind his 2 young children and his wife. May he Rest in Peace.
