French authorities are treating the case as a potential terror attack.

French investigators have detained two new suspects over a foiled bomb plot targeting a Bank of America branch in Paris.

The arrests are part of an expanding probe into a plot involving an improvised explosive device intended to be used against the U.S. bank’s premises in the French capital. Authorities believe the plan had progressed beyond the early stages before it was uncovered and stopped.

France’s national anti-terrorism prosecutor’s office has taken over the case, amid suspicions that the attack may have been motivated by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Investigators are examining whether the suspects acted independently or were influenced by broader geopolitical developments.

Several individuals are now in custody, including a minor, and police are working to determine the extent of their involvement and any potential connections to extremist networks. The targeting of an American financial institution has heightened concerns about possible anti-Western motives.

Security has been reinforced around sensitive sites in Paris, particularly those linked to U.S. interests. Authorities say further arrests remain possible as they continue to piece together the full scope and intent of the foiled attack.
